Basic Rules
Swipe in any direction — up, down, left, or right. All tiles on the board slide that way. When two matching tiles collide they merge into the next evolution. A new tile appears after every swipe. The game ends when the board is completely full and no merges are possible.
How to Get a High Score
Keep your highest-value tile in one corner and work around it. Avoid random merges — plan chains so multiple merges happen in a single swipe. Save your undos for critical moments when you make a mistake.
What is the Daily Challenge?
Every day a new seeded puzzle is available with a specific evolution tier as the goal. The challenge resets at midnight and a countdown timer shows when the next one unlocks. Try to reach the target evolution in as few moves as possible.
What is the Evolution Guide?
The Evolution Guide shows all 16+ evolution tiers in the game. Tiers you have already unlocked during gameplay are fully revealed. It is a great way to discover what comes next and plan your strategy.
My progress was lost — can I recover it?
Game progress is saved locally on your device. If you uninstall the app or clear app data, the saved game cannot be recovered. We recommend not clearing app data unless necessary.
How do I get more undos?
You start with 3 undos per game. When you run out, tap the Undo button and you will be offered the option to watch a short rewarded ad to earn 2 more undos.
The game is showing ads — how do I remove them?
Merge & Evolve is free to play and supported by ads. Interstitial ads appear occasionally between games. Banner ads appear at the bottom of the screen. There is currently no paid option to remove ads.
The app crashed — what should I do?
Please force-close the app and reopen it. Your last saved game state should be restored automatically. If crashes happen repeatedly, try reinstalling the app. You can also contact us below with your device model and iOS/Android version.
Emoji icons are not showing correctly
Make sure your device operating system is up to date. Emoji rendering requires the latest system fonts. On older OS versions some newer emoji may appear as blank boxes.
Is the game available offline?
Yes — the core gameplay works fully offline. An internet connection is only required to load ads and submit leaderboard scores.
How do I turn off sound or haptics?
Tap the settings icon on the game screen. You can independently toggle music, sound effects, and haptic feedback on or off.
